Advice:
I believe you should finish up work and be prepared for something big and exciting to come along. I’ve had opportunities given to me because colleagues weren’t prepared- they had work to finish, hadn’t prepared for the next task that might come along, they left things to finish and then couldn’t take advantage of an opportunity- Example: as a TV reporter I was chosen to take a foreign assignment over the others because I had all my work done and I had a passport which others didn’t.
