Advice:
- Seize every opportunity that arises, whether in your studies or through extracurricular activities such as sports, volunteering, activism, music or art. Find new ways to grow your skills and gain new, different experiences. To grow, you must venture outside your own personal comfort zone. Do it with determination and confidence.
- Speak up- you have an important opinion and perspective to offer. Believe that, and share your thoughts and make your voice heard, even if you have to speak twice as loudly, or repeat yourself twice as often.
- Be kind to other girls. Together, with one another’s support, we can do so much more than we can if we do it alone, or worse, if we cut one another down. Support, defend and encourage your fellow girls, regardless of whether or not they are your friends. You’ll be glad you did.
- Take good care of yourself. Find a balance so you have time for yourself. A healthy body and a healthy mind will be instrumental in your success.
- Finally, trust your gut. This has led me down unexpected but delightful and rewarding paths in my life.
